The Beginning

I enjoy learning, and I learn best by reading. I usually have to read a number of times before I understand what I read. To my surprise, I found that writing about what we read enables learning. While writing, what I don't know become obvious. And that helps in learning.
Writing is very hard. Unlike reading it is not possible to write with half-focus. Words do not flow. I often have to rewrite what I have already rewritten. However, after painstakingly rewriting rewritten material, the end product always gives me joy.
In this blog, my aim is to share with you a little bit of what I learn. I do not have a theme for this blog, or a comprehensive list the topics I am going to write about. But it is likely that I might write about semiconductors, circuit design, politics and policies that shape the global semiconductor sector, as these topics are at the heart of what I do professionally.
I like well-designed functional homes that blends well with the landscape that it is built into. I enjoy simple designs that puts functionality first. Functional home design keeps the occupants' needs first more than ornate artistry. I was lucky to build one and learned a lot during the process. Therefore, I might write about home-building as well.
I hope to write regularly. By regularly I mean at least once every two weeks. I hope that this public commitment will keep me accountable.
Please subscribe to stay up to date and receive emails when new content is published. I hope that you will find my articles useful and that they give you joy. If you think that I have been successful in one of these, please consider sharing. If you do that, I will appreciate it deeply.
Arup.
